BOILER SCRAPPAGE SCHEME - Claim back £400
The government is introducing a ‘boiler scrappage scheme’ that will allow consumers with an old, inefficient Band G boiler to claim back £400 towards the cost of replacing it with a new A-rated system.
The scheme was first announced by the government in the December 2009 Pre-Budget Report. It will be administered by the Energy Saving Trust (EST) which will process the applications and approve the money back claims.
All qualified installers will be able to take advantage of this simple scheme. It is open to all householders in England who are homeowners or live in a privately rented home.
